A Piece of Guitar History

This 1967 Martin D-35 is not just a guitar — it's a legacy instrument from one of Martin’s most sought-after eras. Handcrafted in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, this dreadnought features premium Brazilian rosewood back and sides, a wood now protected and no longer available on new guitars due to its scarcity and conservation status.

The D-35 was introduced in 1965 as an innovative response to the wood shortages of the time. Martin combined a distinctive three-piece back design with lighter top bracing, giving the D-35 its own tonal fingerprint — deeper bass response and greater warmth than its D-28 counterpart, yet with crystalline highs and a balanced midrange.
