About us

Founded in 2002 by Bryce Ferguson, Edinburgh Music Centre began as Brass and Woodwind — a small, specialist workshop in southwest Edinburgh dedicated to professional-grade instrument care.

With a four-year apprenticeship and over two decades of hands-on experience, Bryce developed expertise in brass, woodwind, and string instrument repair and restoration. His vision: to create a centre where musicians could rely on world-class service, personal care, and honest advice.

Today, Edinburgh Music Centre has grown into one of the UK’s best-equipped and most trusted instrument workshops, serving students, educators, orchestras, and professionals across Scotland and beyond.

🛠️ Facilities That Set Us Apart

We’ve built a workshop environment designed to support world-class craftsmanship. Our facilities include:

  • Chemical & Ultrasonic Cleaning Rooms
Featuring a powerful 450L ultrasonic tank — perfect for deep-cleaning instruments up to BBb tuba size.
  • Professional Polishing Suite
Designed to bring even heavily worn instruments back to a mirror finish.
  • Dedicated Sound Room
A private space where musicians can test instruments post-repair, after customisation, or before purchase.

We believe musicians deserve more than just repairs — they deserve tools that match their talent, and service that respects their art.
