Vintage V66 Paul Rose Signature Electric Guitar ~ Distressed Gun Hill Blue
Vintage V66 Paul Rose Signature Electric Guitar ~ Distressed Gun Hill Blue
When Paul Rose, one of the world’s most unique and widely respected guitarists asked for his own pair of signature guitars, based on models from the enormously popular range of Vintage guitars, he himself, faced a mighty challenge, how does he choose from so many awesome guitars?
With Paul’s guitar duties taking him all over the world as a sought-after session player, fronting his own band, and playing with a pantheon of the world’s best musicians, he needs accurate and authentic vintage 50’s and 60’s single coil tone.
Working with the highly skilled luthiers of the Vintage design team, and adding his own experiences, he chose Vintage’s renowned solid body, single cut, bolt neck model to be the basis of this outstanding signature guitar. What emerged is the awesome V66 Paul Rose Signature electric guitar, in a gorgeous, distressed Gun Hill Blue finish and vintage three-layer parchment scratchplate.
The cream ivory bound body has been skilfully hand-distressed, with wear and tear abrasions revealing areas of the USA Alder body for a stunning aged patina, set off with authentically aged Wilkinson Deluxe WJ55CR tuners and a fully adjustable Wilkinson WTBD three intonated saddle bridge.
A superb ‘C’ profile Canadian hard rock Maple neck, GraphTech nut and 22 fret dot inlaid rosewood fingerboard with 7.25" vintage radius, offer exceptional playability and, with Wilkinson WVTN and WVOB pickups delivering the unsurpassed clarity, power and classic single coil tones that Paul adores.
It’s easy to see why the V66 Paul Rose Signature electric guitar is another winner for the Vintage catalogue.
“My V66 guitar has such a simple format and yet, the sound and character alone, inspire me every time”, says Paul Rose, “I just can’t walk past without picking it up.”
