The JB4 is Carvin. It is based on a classic design but has some really nice appointments. In this case we chose a two piece American walntut body and completed the package adding the no pickguard option (to show the walnut in all its beauty) and special inlays. The bolt on neck is neccesary to preserve the attack, and two Single Coil Alnico Carvin J99 pickups capture that sound that so many bassist dream about. Just play a few notes and you'll see what we mean.

In passive mode you get Volume, Balance and Tone. In Active mode you get two wel selected bands of EQ. You can easily dial in a traditional sound in Passive mode by rolling down the tone slightly. Then get into Active with a preselected Bass and Treble boost and you'll get that Super Jazz Tone that so many people search for so many years.

The traidtional 34" scale gives this bass an instant familar feel.
